Timothy Shaw, from Keene, New Hampshire, has enjoyed a multi-faceted career as a composer, private teacher, college professor, music engraver, author, and professional church musician. With degrees in theology and music, he is also a well-known clinician and scholar, having presented at numerous workshops, hymn festivals, and music-reading sessions throughout the United States. 

Shaw has written extensively for the Christian Church and has been published by nearly a dozen publishers. He has also composed a number of commissioned works, including works for David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra; Anne Martindale-Williams, principal cellist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra; and Abington Presbyterian Church.

Shaw has recorded three albums as a pianist and has authored devotions, Bible lessons, and blogs. He lives with his wife, Lauren, and their two sons in the greater-Philadelphia region
